This time I definitely recognise the tune :-)
(even though the arrangement is different to the one I play)
I always thought that this "modern old time" tune sounded best led by a fiddle - as in what you just posted.

Interesting you say that about the fiddle. This is one tune that I play at pretty different tempos depending on whether I'm playing it on banjo or fiddle - on banjo I play it a good bit quicker. But I think it sounds better on fiddle at a slower pace. So I struggled with which tempo to choose. In the end, the fiddle won, and I went with the slower tempo - primarily because as you say this tune really shines best on the fiddle.
