Sounds great! Carl would be flattered. You learn fast! Wish I could. What banjo did you use?

Thanks Kevin...I still don't have a lot of control with this hand...I have a little frailer I use, a mail order banjo called Rex

Lots better than I could do!
I started out to learn clawhammer with Carl, but ended up going 2-finger, at Carl's suggestion, which turned out to be a good one. It can sound pretty close to clawhammer, but it's not as loud or as fast.

I do see accomplishment of that gesture to be a sign of true progress both physically and emotionally...

It's a gesture I can't make, unless I'm wearing gloves! :-) I've learned some good tricks (if slightly vulgar) using surgical gloves and blowing them up like a baloon on my hand... learned that during my boatbuilding days (hobby) when I wore surgical gloves to keep the epoxy and other chemical uglies off my hands.
Your thumb isn't working either? And this is all from November? Wow. Sorry. Keep working at it, or conversely, maybe you need to take your banjo restart a little easy.

My thumb is as straight an d rigid as an arrow, normally it's very bendy....

Very nice, Lyndsay... even tempered, meaningful, fun. Nicely done, especially considering how new you are to CH AND your healing wing.

This is really beautiful.
I've always loved that style of playing.
I need to find someone to teach me.
I've always been a three-finger picker.
Lyndsay, that was wonderful.
