I learned this terrific tune from Bruce Greene--but I don't remember who his source was. Here I'm playing it on a very windy 4th of July weekend at the Sassafras in Cecilton MD with Rafe Stefanini (fiddle) and Nikki Lee (guitar). Rick Martin was also fiddling in that session, but not on this tune (nor on The Rebel's Raid, which I also posted here). It's not a particularly tidy rendition on any of our parts, but I like it anyway.

Nice version! Your clawhammer is always superb. I've been wanting to learn this since hearing James Bryan's fiddling on it. Bruce Green got it from Jake Phelps, but you may already know this after over four years of having posted this.
