This is a waltz I wrote several years ago on the banjo, and recorded with Mark Hellenberg on ukulele on the Hotpoint Stringband album Light Fuse Get Away. When the terrible tsunami hit South Asia on the day after Christmas (aka Boxing Day) in 2004, it was a disaster of unbelievable proportions, but also memorable was the way there was a huge outpouring of love and contributions from the rest of the world toward the victims of the tsunami. This sad but hopeful tune is about that.
