Experience Level: Just Startin'

Interests:
[Socializing] [Helping]

Occupation: retired college teacher

Gender: Male
Age: 73

My Instruments:
An Epiphone MB-100, bought cheap and cleaned up, and two banjos I built from Backyard Music kits, the second one (gulp) fret-free. Have had a lot of fun with that, so just bought a fretless Goodtime. There's an old guitar sleeping in its case, too, but I haven't touched it in a year.

Favorite Bands/Musicians:
Bill Morrissey, Greg Brown, David Bromberg, Pete Seeger, Arnie Naiman, Chris Coole, Gillian Welch, Patty Griffin, Red Molly, Dylan.

Former college teacher (biology) and administrator on the South Shore in Massachusetts. Given the amazing gift of a heart transplant in 2006, or I wouldn't be here trying to learn the banjo again. Live on the salt marsh with my dear Susan and three cats, all of whom (so far) tolerate the noises I produce with the banjo pretty well. Work part-time at Barnes and Noble, try to find the time to do some woodworking, volunteer a little. Look forward to learning from you all.
