Genre: Popular / Playing Style: 4-String (Tenor/Plectrum)

Accompanying my daughter Amy in the spare-bedroom studio of a friend who plays keyboard. We overdubbed a second track on this, one of the songs on a homebrew Christmas CD for family members. Playing a 1930 Vegaphone Professional plectrum in Chicago (guitar) tuning. (Please forgive the random notes at the end.)

What a wonderful voice! I also love your chord progression on the plectrum.

Thanks, guys! Yes, I've only uploaded two tunes so far -- intend to dig out some more jazz and a circa 1963 folk song if presentable; only one mushy tape of our folk group survives, and it may not include my brother's five-string picking. Nelson, you are a good player -- I was reading your blog and comments, and it made me wonder if I overrated myself there at left. I agree that there should be an "intermediate" level; I may not be up to "purty good" if you don't think you are, although I've been playing in public for more than 30 years.

Oh -- "Lono," who's my son-in-law's dad (my daughter's father-in-law), posted a tune I sent him in which I fingerpick "Tishomingo Blues" on a guitar-tuned Gibson tenor. He put it up as a puzzler -- I think it's still around; link is on a thread titled "something different."

Tishomingo Blues sounds great... By the way, you have your own file in my media player.

Thanks for your kind words. As far as the "purty good" level goes... you are purty good. Just let me say... timing is everything... you have it... I don't. That is why I question my ability to reach "Purty good" I will say that I am getting better since taking some lessons but my timing is still atrocious... there are still times that my teacher will sigh and look at me and say "no one would be able to play along with you." Then we take it from the top. I am getting there and not rushing as much but still...
