I believe that this came from Bertram Levy's 'That Old Gut Feeling.' However, Bertram is a far more accomplished player than I, and I never really learned this tune. Just playing it from memory. I classified it as old time, but I believe that it really a French Canadian tune.

Very elegant playing. I still have Ed Britt's copy of That Old Gut feeling, and yup, he plays it as a medley with Butchers Row. I like your remembered version better, you use a far more graceful touch. A fine performance.

Thanks, Don. Your words are kind, as always. Bertram happens to be a neighbor of mine (well, actually about a half mile away). But he isn't playing much banjo these days. He retired from his medical practice a few years ago, and has been concentrating on playing Tango music on the Bandoneon.
