Hey John, Thank you !!! I always liked the melody of the song. I just arranged it the way I thought would sound like the song with a few different voicings. I wish I had played  it a little slower & smoother though. We (my friend Jeremy that recorded it on his portable cd recorder, were pushed for time, we both had to go out of town the next day & I wanted a solo cd to sell at the event in Ala. so I recorded 16 songs one after the other. Thank you again.

Great stuff.  I always like it when the song takes precedent over the banjo.  Love the way the chords move up in the interlude about 3/4 through.  Thanks.

Gorgeous stuff Randal. Nice funky picking /chord melody style you got going there.

Hey Alan,  I really appreciate your kind words!  I've found that using the "chord melody style" helps to get the song to be more recognizable to people who are not  that familiar with banjo music. They'll say ,"Oh, I've heard that song".  It is also fun to play.  I'm glad you like the arrangement!

Thank You!

Hey, being a '70's child myself, I  love ANY 70's tune. Man, I think the 70s were about the best deacde for music in general. You covered it about as well as a banjo can-bravo.

Thanks again John!!! That era did have some nice melodies back then. Your are so nice to take the time to listen to my music files. I play alot of those type songs, because when my twin brother (Greg) on guitar & I used to play private partiesin the 70's & they were chating & drinking wine, a little of Foggy Mt. Breakdown went along way, "Ha" so we switched directions of music to be able to be hired for another gig. Thanks again. Your friend, Randal     http://myspace.com/randalmortonbanjo

Hi Manuel, I appreciate you taking time to listen to the tunes! Also for the very nice comment! I am glad you had the chance to play in such a nice Hall with your banjo accompanied by an Orchestra that you arranged! Very Nice! I along with my late friend, Edwin Hubbard, (luckily he did the arrangements), we played 5 songs, If  (by the group Bread), Evergreen, Opus 36 Clementi, McArthur Park & Dueling Banjo's in the early 70's with the Memphis Symphony , I wish we had it on tape too. It was alot of fun. Thanks again.

Hey Randal, it gets no better than that. Now I gotta dig up that C.D. you gave me a while back. I cant remember all that's on it, but it's all pure Randal and pure banjo genius.

I found your beautiful rendition of this tune purely by chance in the 100 top tunes here, I didn't think for one minute that it would be the "Dance with Me" from my teens -  but it is, and it's brought back so many memories and it moves me still , thank you for posting it, it's on my MP3 player now, on repeat.

Hi Jane, "Thank you so much." I liked the melody of the song as with alot of the songs from the 70's recorded. I quess they just stuck in my head & I enjoy  playing them on the banjo. I do enjoy all styles of music. I am glad they bring special memories for you too! Your friend, Randal

This has always been one of my favorite 70's tunes and what a phenomenal arrangement for banjo, you made some great choices, makes me start thinking about some old 70's tunes I've been playing on guitar that I might want to record with banjo.
True inspiration! Great job!

Thank you Tuneager, I really appreciate you taking the time to listen to the tunes. I liked the melody for many years & thought it would be fun to play. Alot of those 70's songs had great melodies, I'm sure with what you know on guitar will be easy for you to add to the banjo. Keep me posted. Your friend, Randal
