This is an old no-name dowel stick banjo with a star on the peg head that I bought a few years back. Any info about this banjo will be appreciated.

You asked if anyone had info on the banjo in your picture. I have one that is similar. no-name dowel stick. The head is similar to mine. Try putting a mirror on the inside of the skin and see if there is a stamp on the back of the dowel. I found that mine said COLUMBIA and a serial number... turns out to be a Slingerland. Alot of slingerlands don't have names. Maybe that helps...
