I did specifically search for the image of a mongoose, and this popped up.
Looked kind of like a meerkat, to me, but I'm no expert on small mammals.

It sure looks like a meerkat. One stands upright on sentry duty, balanced on its tail, while the rest do whatever meerkats do. Our little cat, Shelby (a.k.a. Schlubby) goes to the living room window and looks out, in a similar stance, with her front paws on the windowsill. I call it "doing the meerkat". Unfortunately, she doesnt play the banjo.
