Charlie had or had his hands on many banjos. That one looks like the Reed Rakes RB-4 (an early archtop mastertone) which is in a safe place. Kinney Rorrer tells its story in his bio of Poole Rambin. Blues, & Poole used it in his last recording session. One of my favorite old-time pickers, Reed Rakes, plays it solo on Chicken Reel and with a band on Mississippi Sawyer on the WPAQ CD that came out a few years back.
