I agree! We are both in posession of related historical artifacts. My good ol' Dobson is not as fun to play any more as my latest banjo, my Reiter Regent, but I love the stupid thing. It is very light weight, and nicely responsive, with a pleasant sustain. It is just not as bright and powerfull as the W.L. tone ring.

The name "Silvertone" might be wrong. The correct name might be "Supertone." At any rate the neck is of a banjo built for Sears, not Lyon & Healy. I don't see any features indicating it was made by Lange.
