Frankie, aren't we the luckiest people in the world when we have a musical heritage! I'm descended from the Hicks/Ward/Gentry line in NC and we have a wonderful heritage of music and storytelling. It is fascinating how these things go from generation to generation to generation. I just found out about my family from NC a few years back but had already begun my banjo journey as well as story telling. Do you think music could be a genetic thing? I know if we are lucky we can learn from our family like you did but I didn't know anything about my family history and it still popped up.
