Here is a variation from my other arrangement, this time replacing quarter notes with eighth notes and playing some lower notes on the fourth string. I have discovered and am developing four parallel open tunings for playing Celtic music and jazz, but I thought it would be fun to see if this tuning works on ‘The Eighth of January’ – and it does!
