I lovedher the minute I first saw her. I then sold her, helped the new owner get her working, and when I found out he had traded her fro something else, tracked her down and traded a Pollman mandoline-banjo for her and a cheap Gibson made Epiphone B25 12 string. I think I had re-traded the Epiphone within a month, but Jackie has been with me far longer than any other instrument I have owned -over 30 years now. She is at least 115, and the most beautiful banjo in the world.

The Schall banjos must be magnificent sounders.
Every player I know who has one, or who owned one at some time, seems to be as dedicated as can be. That's amazing, considering how long it has been since they were last made.
You sure went to great lengths to get Jackie O... she never had a better owner!

Mr. Woodchuckb,
I had never noticed your fabulous, wonderful JB Schall banjo before, can't imagine missing such a wonderful site. I love my JB Schall as you do yours. Mine has been called The Big Banjo and the Digestive Banjo. So soothing you can bring it out when all the fiddles are bedded down, drink a nice calming digestive and play till the sun rises and fall again. I consider mine a baritone banjo by the way I tune it. Really enjoyed slathering over your photo here.
