The pot assembly and the neck were seperated for over 38 years under different ownership. I found the original E pot which was on a plectrum copy of the ODE neck and the pot had been gold plated (hence calling it an E/F). Ken Cagle, Martin Guitar rep and current owner of the pot until last week - and Herb Trotman, owner of Fretted Instruments in Birmingham, AL - helped make the deal happen...I cannot thank Ken enough for his willingness to allow me to bring it back to the original banjo. There were others involved (including Chuck Ogsbury-founder of ODE/OME) and those photos are to come.....

That is a great story and a great banjo...I ama builder myself but the Ode is my favorite banjo..I have five Cs and one D. Best kept secret in the banjo world....Enjoy....Doug

Love your banjo. If you ever want to let it go, let me know. I am also a Bobby Thompson fan, have studied his style and was around him several times in the early 70's.I have never heard anyone sound like Bobby.
