Thanks for the kind comments Claudia. It is a photograph I did a little artwork to snap it up a bit. It's one of my favorite recent ones.  I won a Fujifilm Masterpiece Award for it last month. It is also a great place to hear bluegrass music and I have a story coming out about it in Bluegrass Unlimited soon, hopefully. It is in Fountain, NC, between Wilson and Greenville.

Hello Mike.  I don't usually leave comments but I love this photo!  I wasn't sure photo/painting when I first saw it.  'Inviting' is just the right description.  Not surprised it won an award... It's got a real 'hometown' quality to it, if that's the right word.

Wow thats a great picture of the Fountain General Store! I bet i went past that store a million times and up till last year when i discovered the banjo did it mean anything to me. Some great pickers have made some music there!

This is the second time I stopped by your BHO homepage, Mike, to take a look at this photo/picture/whatever-you-wanna-call-it.  It's nice 'n' warm and it never fails to make me feel... good (for want of a better word).  If this were a Twilight Zone episode I think I'd try to crawl into that thing and spend some time there.  Yep, very nice indeed.

Fine image.  Looks like HDRI (High Dynamic Range Image) to me.  If so what program did you use?

Thanks for the kind words guys ... it is not a HDRI ... I did a little cleanup on some areas in photoshop, added color corrections, and some "virtual painting" and then blended some filters, mostly one called Lucis Art.
