Started taking lessons from Al Osteen in 1978, this lasted for about 2 years. Have been hot and cold on pickin' but have recently gotten the bug again. Thought I needed a better banjo, found a Gibson Earl Scruggs Standard back in Nov. of 2001.....still can't play like Earl!!!!
