no, no sarcasm. Rogers was one of the big makers back in the golden age of drum manufacturing. if i had to guess i'd say this is from the 30's-40's or thereabouts. Buddy Rich played Rogers drums, as did many of the big band/swing drummers of the 40's and 50's. if you got that cleaned up you'd probably have a great sounding snare.
