Thats the Suwannee River! Its a little low right now. The water is of little concern. Better to play the banjo and kick around some leaves to scare off the water mocassins. :)

This picture reminds me of John Anderson's "Seminole Wind". I was just re-reading for the umpteenth time about Peter McQueen, a white man living among the Creek indians and his leadership in the first Seminole War in 1818. Peter was an uncle to Osceola, the Seminole leader. Sorry for the discourse; great photo, Mary.
