Hi,
i went the other way with my "banjocaster" and made a new neck to fit on a Strat body. I also added 3 extra frets, as I do for some of my other banjos, then added all new pickups and controls from Stu Mac, and finally a set of "stealth" bridge mount pickups.
Yes, sounds more like a guitar, but I can use the same fingering that ues anyway.
