I sit in on one of his workshops about 15 years ago at the IBMA.....he's a really good teacher. I think I still have a set of his instructional cassettes somewhere.....that was back before CD's.
I guess if i would give any advice to someone playing the banjo is be very careful not to learn bad habits....they are very hard to unlearn....I know because i did just that when I started 30 years ago...thankfully I had a good teacher to straighten me out. If I can be of any assistance just ask.
