Please tell us whose #340 this is. The name plate is elegant, but I can't read the name. Please tell us something about the skin in the next photo also.

Paul - this is a Bart Reiter banjo from 1988. Not too long after this, he switched to the current, more manufactured looking, name plate.

It looks like old-style jewelry store engraving. Simply says: "Bart Reiter maker" I'll try for a clearer photo soon.
