'Ole Indy' as played by Ron Stewart May 7, 2014 (neck by Yates/Stewart)

Posted 7/29/2014 8:47:18 AM

Records from Gibson indicate the PB-Granada banjo #558-3 shipped on October 8, 1937 to Pearson Company (George C. Pearson, Pianos and Organs) of Indianapolis, Indiana. Batch #558 was comprised of only 3 banjos, all PB-Granadas. This would be the last pre World War II Granada manufactured by Gibson. Learning of this Ron Stewart named it 'Ole Indy' in tribute to his home state of Indiana.

Would give ALL my banjos and my left nut for this instrument...........I have been fortunate enough to play this banjo several times, it's a beast as Ronnie would say. And the LAST flathead Granada to be built to boot!!!! Bill, you are a Blessed man and I'm proud for you.
