I've known Byron since about 1958 or 59 when he, Steve Brainard and I played for the then governor of Oklahoma's birthday. Best fiddle picker in the world. Mason Williams has some priceless stories about him and some of the concertmasters in some of the symphonies that backed him up back when he was touring in Mason's band
