Hi John
I have one of these, I had to modify the gripper pads to prevent the Tuning Pegs on my Fender FB 58 from resting on the top of the stand. I wrote to Hercules Tech Services and they sent me some of that foam on the legs. I cut a slot on the foam pipe wrapped it round the gripper rolls and held in place with rubber bands. No problems in six years.
