The neck is mahogany, the hoop is resin-impregnated fiberboard made by Remo for hand drums, the drumhead is 1/8-inch plywood. Sounds nice and mellow, weighs about two pounds. Fun to build and finish. Available at http://www.backyardmusic.com/Banjos.html.
