I'm commenting on your Ducati motorcycles for two reasons...
I worker after school at a motorcycle dealership that among Yamaha, BSA, Bultaco, also handled Ducatis. And because I too have a fondness for strange vehicals with Lucas wiring... namely, MGB's
Did you restore the two older Ducatis on this page?

Fred,
I bought the 1975 GT 860 used in 1979 with about 7k miles and it needed new valve guides. I replaced them and the bike was ready to roll for the next seven or so years of my ownership.
I have been riding 450 RT's since they came out in 1971 and still have about 7 or 8 of them stashed away. I have raced, enduro'd, cow trailed, commuted and toured 2000 miles into Mexico with them in 1973. I have always done all my own work on all of my bikes.

Fred, By the way my Ducati's had the next step down from Lucas electrics, Ducati's of that vintage had "Ducati Electronica"
for their very marginal electrics. Believe me, Lucas was a big step up in dependability. I have also had a series of old British bikes (BSA and Triumph's) and a MGA that got me through college.....barely!....so I am familiar with Joe Lucas also.
