I made this for Russ's high school graduation gift. The rim was built by banjo building buddy Dave Large as part of a builders barter

Glenn that is wonderful engraving. Russ has to be very proud when asked who made such a wonderful banjo and he replies with a smile..My dad!

I especially enjoy seeing and hearing Russ play that particular banjo, as it was mostly built while I was traveling in hotels. Recently my wife and I got to see him play some clawhammer on it at the Ryman with Ricky Skaggs, now that was pretty cool!
