My Grandma used to make us dresses and bonnets just like these every year for a festival called Pioneer Days....even made outfits for our dolls too. What a neat pic to two very sweet ladies I am sure....brings back some good memories for me.

I had an outfit (like these) made for a doll that my ex's grandma made her, and she had it since she was a little girl. I replaced the old worn out dress with a new one and gave it to her for valentines day years ago. Really hit a soft spot with that one and felt real good doin it.
