Mike Ford worked at ODE in the early 1960s. He designed and inlaid his own "Muse" banjo, used for the photo. This cropped detail photo of Mike & his distinctive banjo, is from one of ODE's most 'iconic' promotional images. The photo was used on the back covers of the 1963 and 1964 ODE catalogs -- and for numerous ads, in magazines like "Sing Out!"
