Mike Compton is a living legend. He hung around Bill Monroe, learned his style, and has delved into the world of old-time and old style black blues like no other. Alan O'Bryant said the Nashville Bluegrass Band was built around him!

Glad you appreciate Mike, too. He just came out with a new solo CD recorded in Australia.

He's great. I'll have to check that out...I wish he and Joe Newberry would do an album...love their stuff!

You can only buy his new CD through his website. It's called Rotten Taters, which is the perfect song describing part of his recent life! I like David Grier and Mike Compton duets.
