She's a cutie! I know it's a banjo, but beside your little one, it looks like a bass, and she's striking up a tune!

Thank you! And great point, it does look like she's slapping it. I recently replaced the fishing line with nylguts. Between that and the large box (too large--needs to be cut down), it has actually reasonable bass.
With the new, real strings, it's gotten more play. The other night, she brought it to me and said, "Please, Daddy, you play banjo, please?" A moment to treasure.
Incidentally, sometime after that photo was taken, the bridge disappeared. I never found it.
