25 weeks learning - this weeks effort from JanetDavis' YCTYB is Old Man at the Mill. She plays it a bit faster on her CD but I've heard the OldEnglish one and I think it needs to be slower so here it is!

6 months of this banjo learning thing finds me armed with some banjo to Old Man at the Mill from Janet Davis' YouCanTeachYourselfBanjo. I remember this song from the 70s in England. Wifey badgered me into having a stab a singing it (first time I've ever tried singing anything and its really bad!) and for fun we recorded a "folk-rock" (I think thats what they called the style back then) version. Apologies to Iain Mathews who did the influencing version back then.

9 months of learning now - this is an attempt at JD's version as in Masters of the 5 String Banjo book. Needs to be a bit faster but 130 is my limit so far. Timing a bit scrappy - first attempt at backup. Wifey doing the singing stuff.
