This is the 7 fold Amen the choir sings at New Song United Methodist Church after the pastor says the benediction. It's #904 in the UM hymnal. I played the 4 parts-bass, tenor, alto, soprano-with bass, 2 guitars and mandolin.

This song is often used for Palm Sunday. It's the song I was doing in the photo with Strat at New Song UMC

This is the tune we know as "Old 100th" that is often used for the Doxology. (Praise God from whom all blessings flow...)

This is supposed to be the first song Isaac Watts wrote, when he was about 15.

Some say Charles Wesley wrote the words, but personally I don't think so. I think if he wrote it he would have put his name to it!

This is a translation of a German song set to a Silesian folk melody. (Bet you didn't know that, but you do know the song.)

My guess it this song came out of the Camp Meeting movement, the date and syle, not to mention the lyrics, fit that era.

The lyrics date to 1745 and were originally in Welsh, the melody though is early 1900's.

This songs seems to be the most popular one I've recorded so far. (It was popular with the instruments too; they all insisted on having a solo!)

I found this in an old United Methodist hymnal given to me by a Methodist minister in North Carolina. I use it to open the service when I play at churches.
