I recorded the banjo track yesterday in the lobby of the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago then added the guitar bass and brushes later. I recorded the banjo with out a click track which reminds one why it is a good tool. I use the banjo as a snare drum

Just finished another song. It seems like it is taking me longer to finish songs these days. I wanted to do a balled.

Me maxterxating on an old fiddle tune. The ice cream truck that makes its rounds in our neighborhood blares this song.

This is another bass banjo duet on this brilliant standard Wes Montgomery tune. Most of my jazz chords are based on Wes Montgomery so here is a tribute to my favorite jazz musician.

I wanted to do a tribute to Bob Marley because he is a big influence among other greats like Monk, Parker, Monroe, Scruggs. Traditional Jamaican music has banjo and there is a connection between it and bluegrass. The banjo was played on a keyboard for fun so it plays a minimal role of outlining chords.

And yet we are still not willing to give peace a chance. The economy is crashing because expensive wars yet the housing market crash, which is a fraction of the war debt, gets the blame. But what do I know I'm just clever. You are alive John Lennon.
