Mark Johnson Clawhammer Banjo and Ukulele. Tom Berghan percussion, Soprano, Baritone, and Bass Banjos. “Stony Point” appears in early American music manuscripts such as Benjamin Carr’s Evening Amusement, published in Philadelphia Pennsylvania in 1796. The title of this once very-popular dance tune commemorates an embarrassing defeat for the British commander Sir Henry Clinton in 1779 at Fort Stony Point, New York, at the hands the American forces commanded by General "Mad" Anthony Wayne.
