My dad sang this song to each of my children at their births. His lyrics are a bit different, but I wasn't able to download his lyrics off the internet and can't quite remember how he sings it. This is my first clawhammer recording.

I tried to educate this song a little. I hope that I've improved upon it.

This is Jingle Bells. I learned it early on. I figured I'd have it down by Christmas and it turned out pretty good I think.

This is my version of Shady Grove. I was inspired to learn it by DebbieLee. Thanks Debbie. I wouldn't be surprised if all the other versions we've been hearing around here lately are inspired by Debbie as well.

This song is pretty left hand intensive, this is as clean as I could get it. I love the tune though.

This is a song dedicated to my dog Maya who we lost back in February. Maya absolutely hated squirrels and so I imagine that right now she's up in heaven eating sqirrel heads and gravy. I miss you Maya.

This is Capo'd in B. I recorded the voice track separately.

This is a great song. I started working on this a year or so ago and put it down. About three months ago I picked it up and started learning it again. I play it once through as is written in the tab. Blueridge does it better than me, but they are the band that inspired me so long ago to learn the song.

This tune is another one I learned from my Janet Davis Ultimate Banjo Songbook. I enjoyed learning it and it's nice to have a tune in my repertoire that is slow.

The voice banjo and guitar track on this song are all me. Not a lot of flash here. I was trying to

This is in the key of E no capo. I had a little trouble with the chord changes since I'm not used to them, but I think it came out all right.

I've been playing this awhile and there are a dozen places where I always make mistakes, so I haven't tried to record it until now. I think the big low g on the b part sounds super cool my cello banjo. I think I need to get some plastic finger picks for this banjo. The pick noise is a little excessive.

This song is sung to Shady Grove. I submitted my entry to Mander's contest a week late because I couldn't get it together before mother's day.

This is my own arrangement of repetative and cliche licks. I created the arrangement for the experience making a Scruggs style arrangement of my own. I know my dad will like it as I think he enjoys banjo with loud flashy licks sometimes. If anyone doesn't like it, well it's only 30 seconds long so I haven't wasted much of your time:)

This came together recently. This was the second song (jingle) that I ever attempted and thought I'd be able to get it when I first started learning because it is so short. Well, it has completely alluded me until now.
