Genre: Other / Playing Style: Clawhammer and Old-Time
This is one of my favorite tunes that we played in the klezmer band, Gefilte Trout, a number of years ago. The traditional tune is originally in minor key D, but our fiddler, Carla Chandler, morphed it into major. It is great fun to play. I love three-part tunes! Who says that clawhammer banjo can't play klezmer? I recorded this on my dumb phone a couple of years ago so I would always remember the tune. My grandparents came from Odessa, Ukraine around the turn of the century. Another reason it is dear to my heart!
