Staying with the "international" theme this is an old Cajun tune, somewhat grassified. To a large extent we don't actually know what it means, but c'est la vie.

I wrote this ditty in about 20 minutes playing around with odd tunings. While I was originally going for "drunken gypsy" it evolved into a tune more evocative of Russia to me. The title recognizes the influx of immigrants from the former USSR to this area and "French Broad" is a river passing through town.
