This 19th C. barracks ballad is based on the church tune 'Happy Land.' It was resurrected from near oblivion when Gene Autry & Vaughn Monroe each recorded it...after General Douglas MacArthur referred to the song in his farewell speech before the United States Congress in 1951. Played on a Michael Fox Dulcijo.
