An original tune inspired by sibling rivalry. When she was a kid, a friend of mine, after learning that her big sister had a crush on the Little House on the Prairie character Almanzo Wilder, taunted her with "Almanzo's So Maaaaanly!"

My first recording on my new WL-250 banjo. My creek is a bit crippled, but I'm happy with it considering I've been playing for 5 days, and frailing for 3.

Cripple Creek played 4 times: an easy version, two variations, and the easy version again. Basically Mike Iverson's arrangement, except for a bit of my own flair at the end.

From Winners' New Primer for the Banjo (1864), played on Ome Flora. Tuned bEBEF# (Double-C, capo @ 4). I don't do minstrel / 2-finger style, so I've clawed it up.

Dedicated to composer and Mickey Mouse Club host Jimmie Dodd, who unlike 99% of today's television, used the boob tube to make the world a better place. This is my brief arrangement of the Mickey Mouse Club March for clawhammer banjo, which is a little bit old time and a little bit Dixieland (Disneyland?), with just a dash of Randy Newman a la Toy Story sprinkled in at the end.

Arrangement by Mike Iverson. Drop-thumbing with a pinky on string 4 fret 5 is a nutbuster.

I first heard this song sung by actor Colm Meany portraying Miles O'Brien in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Wounded." Always liked it. This is a one-verse version played legato.
