I get mixed reviews on this one. Some of my friends really like it and others don't. The jury is out on it. Once again the label of what kind of song it is kinda evades me. They don't have a "whiner" category on the dropdown menu... Again, this has limited banjo because it isn't really a banjo tune, although like all my songs I wrote it on banjo.

I really think that I'm the weakest link in this song since I don't have a solo voice. And, for this recording, even though I wrote it on a banjo, we opted to leave it out.

On a TDY to Fort Leonard Wood I went to a music store and bought a cheap mandolin I didn't need from a very pretty sales girl. Fooling around with it in the evening the fireflies came out and I used a lot of artistic license since my only interaction with her was to buy the mandolin... But my friends like the song.

This is an R. Crumb old time blues tune that's just a lot of fun. The Baghdad String Benders don't get to rehearse very often so we just jam and have a good time.

This song is very emotional, but I wrote it as a kind of ala Radiohead song which, alas the banjo and these guitars couldn't do. But I'm feeling this should be either a slow ballad, or I've got to get with my rocker friends and make it right

This is better version of this song than I had posted, and doesn't have be screwing it up twice and starting over. This song is one of my big hits among my almost one dozen fans! I still struggle with calling this 'folk' or 'country' but I'm putting it under folk this go around.
