This is a remix of a version I posted previously. I cleaned up some of the timing, and reduced the amount of effects on the banjo. My buddy Glenn Ichien is singing and playing the drums.

Here are the arpeggios studios from page 19 of Arthur Blacks book. They are done twice through, the second time to illustrate how these techniques, when played faster, start to take on a different effect. At the end, the last line is repeated with increasing tempos to further illustrate the effect of increasing tempo on the perception of what's being played. At the faster tempos, we can start to hear the idea behind dual form tremolo.

This haunting melody was written by Jay Ungar in 1982 and used in the Ken Burns documentary on the Civil War. It is done on a Bacon Flat-top plectrum. It was written as a goodnight waltz at the annual Ashokan fiddle and dance camps held by Ungar

This is rendition of the song done on a plectrum banjo with vocal and backing tracks. This is an update to a previous posting. This version has some more orchestration as well as effects, and some crickets for good measure.

This variation of Minuet in G is done on a plectrum banjo and blends 5 string melodic style concepts with four string tremolo and strumming.

This is the Waltz Study on Page 19 of Arthur Black's Book: A Practical Plectrum Method for Standard Banjo. It was played with a mute (because it was late at night). This has the effect of sustaining the notes longer and creates an effect not intended by the study.

Here is my next take on the waltz study on page 19 of Arthur Blacks book. I included the changes recommended by Rob, played without my mute, and used an open hand dragging my fingers on the head for the tremolo.
