I first heard this on an LP record 'Fingers on Fire' from the Country Gentlemen and straight away loved it and had to learn it ?this was from a Sunday afternoon jam with friends, the best I ever did with it.

I always enjoyed Eddie Adcock's version of "Paddie on the Turnpike" which he renamed "Eddie on the Freeway" when he was one of the best and most interesting banjo players with the Country Gentlemen, anyway I found this amongst treasures of our practice sessions when I was a member of a little known group (Mountain Slide we called ourselves) down here in Australia....hope you like it

A Tune I heard on an album called 'The Greatest Stars of Bluegrass' and I just love the sound of a banjo in C Tuning.

Traditional tune sung by both sides in the American Civil war. I heard it played on an LP back in the '60;'s and thought I'd like to play it......I like the sounds of C tuning

Pretty simple really, we practiced this, never sang it in public, it was good fun figuring out the banjo part. Think we recorded it about 15 years ago, have fun if you like it, and thanks if you do. I'll post tab as well.
