This is a very old tune going back to Scotland's bagpiping and Gaelic mouth music traditions long ago. Also known as " Miss MacLeod's Reel ", "Hop High Ladies " and " Did you ever see the Devil Uncle Joe " Here I am fiddling it in FCFC tuning with Tony Holmquist playing banjer in F . It was played in AEAE in Scotland long ago, but most American Old Timey fiddle it in standard G tuning. Be warned, there is a screech at the begining, a little editing mistake.

I learned this fine Alabama tune from the Red Mountain White Trash of Alabama. I am fiddling it in GCGD tuning, Tony Holmquist on banjo
