I learned this by watching Mary Coons play it a coup[le of hundred times on the legendary documentary "Echos of America". I think it's fairly accurate. It was recorded in the same batch as Salty Dog and I have refined it a little since.

I know it's been done to death but this little tune has saved my skin on many occasions and I'm sure it will continue to do so. Tab available upon request. Cricket(s) was just one cricket multi tracked and panned several times.

Can't get more "Standrad" banjo repertiore than this! Recorder about 9 years ago on a Boss 8 track Hard disk recorder. I play all the instruments and do all the singing. Proper Billy no mates me.
