I wrote this song after a night at my cabin, a couple of old timers were telling me a story about when they were kids the whole north shore forest caught fire from the sparks of a steam train passing through the dry southern manitoba prairies. I guess this was quite common.

5 months ago my fiddle player recorded this fiddle tune he wrote, I just came across it at my studio today and decided to put some other instruments to it. I played all instruments except the fiddle, a bit rough but I`m loving the tune.

A train song I wrote about when I was a kid and we`d put pennys on the Train tracks, to flatten them. The Prairie Dog Central Steam train use to run from my home town, now runs out of Winnipeg MB, CDN, out to Warren MB. A live recording.
