This is a medley I dedicate to my cousin Tom, who inspired me to play the banjo. The sounds of the banjo bring back great memories of family get togethers enjoyed by the Camengas and the Matthews in Evergreen and Fort Lupton, Colorado. This is a medley of two fiddle tunes from the 1800's: "Sally in the Garden Sifting Sand" and a song called "Texas". I played it on my Bart Reiter Whyte Laydie and learned the songs from R.D. Lunceford's excellent tabulature books.
