Genre: Folk / Playing Style: Clawhammer and Old-Time
I've been working on using the clawhammer style in non-Old Time genres, and recorded a bunch of them on my new CD "Oldies and Old Time," which comes out June 1st. Here's preview of one track: a blues classic played on my Rayco resophonic banjo (w/ dobro style spider bridge resonator and frailing scoop. The tuning is e A D G B, and the idea is that it's tuned equivalent to the inside 4 strings on guitar. So it uses the chord shapes you'd play on guitar in the key of E uncapoed. Hope you like it!
